Carl Covey and Harlow Warneke have started a new business here, to be known as “Marion Trailer Sales.” The two men are pictured showing one of the several camper-trailers they have in stock at their location at the corner of Main and Cedar. They invite the public to stop by and examine the units on display.

Last week, Representative Lawrence Slocombe of Peabody, member of the Kansas Legislature, introduced fellow townsman Patty Edmonds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bentz of Peabody, to the Kansas House of Representatives with the following remarks:

“Mr. Speaker and members of the House: You are all aware that Kansas has the most beautiful women in the nation, but you may not know that down in Marion County we have the cream of the crop. To prove what I am saying, I have the privilege of introducing to you my young Peabody neighbor, the Kansas Dairy Princess.”

Senior Girl Scouts of Troop No. 61 were busy Monday night, planning a trip they hope to take to Canada in the summer of 1968. Pictured are scouts Janice Jantz, Nancy Olsen, Joyce Ford, and Susan Marler, The troop also is planning a trip to Abilene this August for the dedication of the Chisholm Trail.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Pavey of Marion announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Eileen, to Harry J. Sieger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Sieger of Wichita. An early summer wedding is planned.

Junior Debbie Steinert was chosen as Queen of the Court at homecoming activities held at Centre Friday night. Debbie’s attendants were Virginia Ronsick, Mary Schubert, Sherri Henke, and Kathy Kroupa.
