Merchants who will participate in a style show as a part of a spring trades show March 16 met Friday with a committee from the Chamber of Commerce. Ethel Gardner Dale, who is experienced in professional style shows and stage presentations of other kinds, is heading the committee.
Dan Brodhead and J.B. Miesse entertained Saturday evening at a Valentine party at the Brodhead home. Guests were Sarabel Wolf, Clair Hyde, Patricia Henry, Mary Margaret Hannaford, Marilyn Richmond, Alice Ward, Juanita Ford, Dennis Richards, Billy McKibbin, Johnny Newcomer, Teddy Heath and Eugene Christensen.
Friday and Saturday specials at Buckley’s Grocery include Van Camps pork and beans, 300-size can, 13 cents; golden cream style corn, No. 2 can, 16 cents; apple juice, quart bottle, 15 cents; marshmallows, 6-ounce package, 19 cents; and ruby red grapefruit, 10 for 32 cents.

While everyone seems to be happy about our new telephone service, we think a word should be said about the Mutual operators who faithfully served us — especially Lydia Sommers, night operator for many years, and the many others who were so courteous, obliging, and efficient through the years.
