On their third ballot, the jury in the Kindred murder trial found Gayer not guilty at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. The court is dismissed, and the case becomes an unsolved mystery.

E.F. Nelson, prominent Marion businessman for the past 19 years, announced this week the sale of his interests in Farmers and Drovers National Bank to L.L. Hadsell of Sterling. The transaction will become effective Dec. 1.

Several business places in Marion have been brightened this week by vases of flowers, compliments of Newsom Greenhouse in observance of National Flower Week.

KFH-AM’s popular Ark Valley Boys will be featured at a show and dance Nov. 17 in Tampa. The event is being sponsored by the Moffitt-Crandall American Legion Post.

Three big weekends are planned for kids during the Christmas season. There will be free shows in the afternoons and will climax in a visit Dec. 18 from Santa Claus. Big, well-filled bags of treats will be handed out to every boy and girl.
