A current epidemic of old-fashioned measles centered its attack this week on Bown-Corby School, with 85 students out of a total enrollment of 134 out, exposed, or recovering.
The Community Guild will present a minstrel April 5 at the City Building. Ethel Dale and Natalie Wheeler will direct the entertainment, which will feature specialties, a chorus, novelty dances, and songs.
Bernice Hahn, instructor at Marion airport, reports that first female to solo at the Marion airport is Mrs. Billie Reid, who made a perfect landing and said, “I kept waiting for the wheels to touch,” not realizing the ship was already on the ground.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hayen have received word from their son, Lt. Bernard Hayen, that he has joined his family at his home base in Tachikawa, near Tokyo. Lieutenant Hayen has been in Berlin since September, flying a C-54 in an airlift in central Germany.
