Monte Fisher

Former engineer Monte Wayne Fisher, 83, died Feb. 27 at his home in Whitewater.

He was born June 18, 1934, to Lewis Fisher and Alice (Kimberlin) Fisher in Colorado Springs.

He graduated from Peabody High School and attended Wichita State University, majoring in engineering.

Fisher served in the Air Force from 1957-1961.

He married Carolyn Ann Cave on May 26, 1956.

He worked for many firms during his 40-year career, and authored technical education student workbooks.

He was a member of Federated Church in Whitewater.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughters Deanna Miller of Valley Center and Deborah Buttel of Whitewater; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by son Steven Wayne and brother Kenneth Fisher.

A funeral service was Monday at Federated Church in Whitewater. Interment was at Whitewater Cemetery with military rites. A visitation was Sunday at the church.

Memorials have been established with Federated Church or Phoenix Hospice.
