Movies to benefit splash pad project
Five family movies will be presented this month as a benefit for Hillsboro’s splash pad community plaza project.
A series of four children’s movies, each shown at 1 p.m. on successive Mondays, will include:
- Monday — “Space Jam.”
- June 11 — “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.”
- June 18 — “A Bug’s Life.”
- June 25 — “Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe.”
Admission is free with purchase of a concession and prize pack. Each pack includes five tickets redeemable before or during the performance for popcorn, soft drinks, or candy (two tickets), cotton candy (three tickets), a glow necklace (two tickets), or a prize entry (one ticket).
Packs for individual dates cost $7. Packs with separate sets of tickets for all four Mondays cost $20 for the first pack and $15 for each additional pack.
The series is being sponsored by Hillsboro Young Professionals and Hillsboro Recreation Commission.
A fifth movie, “Jumanji, Welcome to the Jungle,” targeted at teens, will be shown at 7 p.m. June 16.
Packs for the June 16 movie cost $7 for the first pack and $5 for each additional pack.
