Much to do at upcoming fair
Marion County Fair will offer classic events as well as a carnival this year.
The carnival will be open from July 23 through 26 and offer a variety of games, food, and rides.
A kids’ pedal pull for children ages 4 through 12 will be at 7:30 p.m. July 23 between the 4-H and foods buildings. Contestants can pre-register at 6 p.m. and should to not wear flip-flops.
A rodeo will begin at 8 p.m. July 23 and 24 will include events for young and old. Those wishing to participate should call Steve Kraft at (620) 200-4081.
On July 25 an antique tractor pull will be at 7 p.m. Call Myron Regier at (620) 367-8277 to register.
Events on July 26 will include a 5-kilometer run at 8:30 a.m. and a 1-mile race for kids at 9 a.m., a parade at 10 a.m. water events at 11 a.m., box turtle races at 11:45 a.m., an all-day tractor show, barnyard Olympics at 1 p.m., and a demolition derby at 7 p.m.
