Nathan Wedel

Nathan Wedel, 95, of Tampa died Saturday at Abilene. He was born June 4, 1918, to John and Nettie (Jantz) Wedel in rural Tampa.

He was preceded in death by his spouses, Betty Wedel in 1964 and Myrtle Wedel in 2009.

He is survived by five sons, Larry of rural Tampa, Douglas of Quebec, Canada, Steve of Abilene, Curtis of rural Durham, and Monte of Westmoreland; a daughter, Mona Koop of rural Abilene; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro. Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with Parkside Ranch, Quebec.
