Night in the Barn live nativity is Dec. 21-22
Tabor Mennonite Youth Fellowship will present its annual live nativity, Night in the Barn, from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 21 and 22 at the farm of Maynard Knepp and Carol Duerksen between Hillsboro and Goessel.
Animal attractions include a kissing llama, a cow and her calf, sheep wearing bells, and donkeys. The come-and-go event will share the perspectives of the innkeeper and a shepherd, as well as Christmas carols. Visitors are also welcome to gather around a bonfire with hot drinks.
To get to the farm from Goessel, go 3 miles north on K-15, 4 miles east on 150th Rd., then ¾ mile north on Falcon Rd. From Hillsboro, go 4 miles south on Indigo Rd., 3 west on 150th Rd., and ¾ north on Falcon Rd. Duerksen warns that following GPS directions could lead visitors down a rough road.
Admission is free, but donations to the youth group will be accepted. For more information, call (620) 367-8432 or (620) 386-0709.
