Many area residents were confined to their homes because of influenza and general illness in the community the week of Jan. 18 to Jan. 25.

Larry and Wanda Koehn entertained Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff and family, Arlyn and Kalynda Wiebe, Stuart and Lea Isaac, and Aaron and Janessa Herbel over dinner Jan. 25.

Calla Wengar and Janene Wiebe arranged a birthday surprise dinner for Nadine Davis on Jan. 25 at the Calvin Wiebe home. Trevor Wiebe baked a birthday cake. Guests were Roy and Nadine Davis, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, Ken and Shelli Giesbrecht and Taylor, Tim Davis, and Brooke Wiebe.

Jim and Brenda Enns visited Ron and Dora Unruh Jan. 25 at the Unruh home.
