The Durham Senior Citizens gathered for their monthly potluck dinner on Sept. 24 at the Community Center. Betty Youk and Doris Crowthers were hostesses to 16 patrons. Those who attended the Senior Fair in Salina Sept. 23 gave reports.

The Henry G. and Kathrine Regier family had their 51st annual reunion Sept. 28 at Heritage Park in Hesston. Ron and Dora Unruh and Mark Unruh enjoyed fellowship with their relatives. Dora’s mother was a daughter of the Regiers.

The weather cooperated with the Clayton Wiebe family while they camped out on Sept. 26 and 27 at Milford Lake. The Nelson Wiebe family, Travis Koehn family, Wayne Wiebe family, and Calvin Wiebe family also camped there.

Larry and Wanda Koehn invited Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family, Kendall and Susie Wiebe and family, Dale and Kathy Jantz, and Heath and Tannis Dirks and Jackson over for dinner on Sept. 28.

After a service in Newton for Edith Unruh, graveside services were held Sept. 27 at the Peace Valley Cemetery in rural Durham. Edith and her late husband, LeeVern, were lifetime residents of the Durham community before moving to Newton. Some of those that attended the service were Ann Bartel, Jaraine Redger, and Ron and Dora Unruh.
