Jim and Brenda Enns and Sandy Duerksen hosted the annual Summer Duerksen family picnic at Brooker Central Park in Marion. In addition to playing a game and eating a picnic supper, they shared pictures and stories from the past year. Durham residents Ron and Dora Unruh and Mark and Barb Unruh attended the reunion.
Durham Senior Citizens met Sept. 26 at the community building. The 27 seniors had a potluck supper and heard a program presented by the Cottonwood River Band. Richard and Kathy Dirks hosted the event.
Dinner guests Sept. 30 at the home of Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe were Roy and Nadine Davis, Warren and Jane Unruh, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, and Calla Wengar.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe visited Vera Dirks on Sept. 26 at Bethesda Home in Goessel. They later visited Henry Redger at his home in Moundridge and Donna Koehn. They visited Harry and Lela Wedel on Sept. 30.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks hosted a family wiener roast on Sept. 29. Guests were Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family, Heath and Tannis Dirks, and Marlin and Bethany Wiebe and Jessami.
Evening visitors of the Ken Wiebes on Sept. 30 were Jason and Sherri Wiebe and family, Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family, and Scott and Tami Koehn and family.
