Guests for a pre-Christmas gathering Dec. 18 at the home of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were Ken and Shelli Giesbrecht, Taylor, Darren, and Meri Kay Rhodes and family, Mike and Mich Rhodes and family, and Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family.
Gathering at the Clayton Wiebe home for Christmas dinner Dec. 24 were Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe and family, and Loretta Wiebe.
Wendell and Linda Wedel left Dec. 18 for California to spend the holidays with Maria and Newt Jantz and Gavin. While there, they also visited Linda’s sister, Janet, and Junior Giesbrecht in Glenn, California. The Wedels returned home Dec. 29.
The Wedels had a belated Christmas Jan. 1 at their home with Greg and Charlene Wedel and family and Travis and Connie Becker and family.
Many attended a memorial service for Jonas Giesbrecht, father of Ken and Shelli, on Thursday at Alexanderfeld Church near Hillsboro.
Larry and Eileen Schmidt and Kasey of Mississippi arrived Dec. 23 at the home of Roy and Nadine Davis to visit relatives during the holidays. They returned home Jan. 1. Other guests on Christmas Day were Rick and LaVae Koehn and boys, Gary and Crystal Davis, Karley and Rylen, and Tim Davis. Thursday supper guests were the houseguests, Rick and LaVae and family, Leland and Nedra Davis of Victoria, Texas; Tim Davis, and Gary Davis. After-supper guests were Riley and Collen Rempel of El Campo, Texas.
Justin and Rebecca Wiebe and family of Iowa came Dec. 27 to spend time visiting relatives. They were houseguests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe through Thursday. The Wiebe family had their Christmas supper at a barn near Galva.
Thirty-one members of the family of Ron and Dora Unruh had their Christmas Dec. 26 with dinner and a day of fellowship.
Darrel and Donita Rhodes and family were hosts for a supper for the Harry and Lela Wedel family Dec. 23 at the school.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe invited Tim Davis, Ruth Boehs, Sandy Wiebe, Mark and Kris Wiebe, Luke, Kayla, Karalee, Jasper and Joni Zeiset and Kelton, and Quinton and Dianne Unruh and Katie to have dinner with them Sunday.
Mike and Mich Rhodes and family spent time during the holidays with her parents, Raymond and Ethelene Unruh in Bradley, Arkansas.
Holiday guests in the home of Mark and Kris Wiebe were Kris’ mother, Sharon Redger Ingalls; brother Jim Redger and family from Idaho, and sister Lisa and Gladwin Smith of Alaska. Karalee and Kayla also were home from their teaching jobs in Idaho and Mississippi.
