Northwest of Durham: Family birthdays celebrated

Jim and Brenda Enns hosted a birthday supper Sunday evening for recent family birthdays. Those honored were David and Ashley Enns, their daughter Brandi, Darren Enns, and Matthew Hiebert. A taco supper and ice cream and birthday cake were enjoyed by Ron and Dora Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah, Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle and Jenna, Lon and Deb Hiebert and Matthew, the David Enns family, and Darren Enns.

Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Heath and Bethany, LaVern and Lisa Litwiller and family, Ruston and Lydia Dirks, and Rick and LaVea Koehn were Sept. 10 supper guests of Roy and Nadine Davis.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to Moundridge Manor Sunday afternoon to visit Helen Wiebe and other residents there.

Beth Wiebe was honored Monday evening with a baby shower at the Cottonwood Grove School. Special guest was her grandmother, Mrs. Manford Nichols Copeland, as well as other relatives and friends from the community.

Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and girls gave a report Sunday evening or their three-month mission service in Zimbabwe. They also sang a song in the Shona language they learned while there.

Wednesday overnight guests of Roy and Nadine Davis were his brother, Leland and Nedra Davis of Victoria, Texas, who were on their way to Buhl, Idaho, to help with the silage harvest. Their daughter also lives there.

After church Sunday evening visitors of the Doyle Wiebe family were Ken and Shelly Giesbrecht and Taylor.
