It was vacation time for Larry and Wanda Koehn when they left Sept. 26 for Canada. On their way, they spent the night with Bruce and Cheryl Dirks at Yoder, Colo., and then went on to Swan River, Manitoba to spend a week with their daughter, Sara and Tom Penner and family. It was rather cool and rainy, and farmers were hoping for dry weather to harvest their wheat and canola crops before the snow and cold weather set in. On the way home, the Koehns visited Larry’s sister, Jewel, and Dennis Warkentin at Cartwright, Manitoba. They returned home Oct. 5.
