NORTHWEST OF DURHAM: Many enjoy holiday weekend outings

Mark and Kris Wiebe, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, and Jasper and Joni Zeiset and Kelton went to Marion Reservoir for a picnic Monday.

Guests for a hamburger fry Monday at the Clayton Wiebe home were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and family, and Loretta Wiebe.

Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah went to Enid Friday for graduation of Barb’s great-niece, Kendra Kroeker, from Oklahoma Bible Academy. She was one of 39 graduates and 13. The Unruhs also visited other relatives who traveled to the graduation: Barb’s sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Gary Eichleberger, and her niece, Dianne Finney, and Dianne’s husband, Hiram, all from Twin Falls, Idaho. The Unruhs returned home Saturday.

Roy and Nadine Davis went to Cantril, Iowa, to visit Hiram and Rhonda Wedel and Brayden over the holiday weekend. They returned late Monday.

Friday supper guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were the Merlin Unruhs of Halstead and the Riley Unruhs of Canton. All three couples did mission work in Russia at different times in recent years.

Guests Sunday in the home of Merlin and Karletta Wiebe were Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Rayletta Ratzlaff, Warren and Jane Unruh, Wayne and Loralee Wiebe, and family and Loretta Wiebe.

Joining Ron and Dora Unruh for homemade ice cream Sunday evening were Jim and Brenda Enns, Lon and Deb Hiebert, Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah, and Warren and Anita Unruh, Kyle and Jenna.

Richard and Kathy Dirks were hosts May 25 for 23 senior citizens who met for a monthly potluck at the Community Building. Seniors Jamborees from Hillsboro provided music.

May 25 supper guests at the home of Quinton and Dianne Unruh near Canton were Larry and Wanda Koehn, Warren and Jane Unruh, Amy Koehn, and their cousins, Merlin and Rebecca Koehn of Angleton and K.T. and Rene Koehn, Moundridge.
