Many from the area experienced earthquake tremors Saturday morning. It was very unusual for this to happen.

Linda Wedel flew to California to visit her daughter Maria and Newt Jantz and Gavin on Aug. 24 and returned home Aug. 31.

Many attended the wedding of Katelyn Entz, daughter of the Galen Entzes, to Drew Smith from Fountain Run, Kentucky, on Sunday at Alexanderfeld Church near Hillsboro.

A picnic was held Saturday afternoon at the park in Hillsboro for Carolyn Jantz. Some cousins who attended were Janene Wiebe Dallas, Dayne, and Morgan, Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Scott and Tami Koehn and family, Ken and Shelli Giesbreacht and Taylor, Mich Rhodes and family, and Lela Wedel.

Sunday supper guests in the home of Marcel and Wendy Unruh were Roy and Nadine Davis, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, and Mark and Kris Wiebe.

Close to 100 people attended the annual Isaac Wiebe Labor Day breakfast. It was hosted by Aryln and Kalynda Wiebe at their farm.

The Mitch and Carol Unruh family and Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe family went to Missouri for the Labor Day weekend. They had a Toews family gathering with all of Carol and Lora Lee’s brothers and sisters and families.
