The Durham Senior Citizens met for a potluck dinner on Feb. 22 at the Community Building. Joyce Medley and Joan Harmon were hosts. The group of 18 played bingo after lunch.
On Feb. 25, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to Moundridge Manor to visit some of the residents.
A good representation of residents from the area went to the Flint Hills RECA meeting Feb. 21 at Centre High School.
Calvin and Janene Wiebe went to Wichita to eat out for their 15th wedding anniversary on Feb. 23. The children spent the evening with Mike and Mich Rhodes and family.
Harry and Sheryl Rhodes went to Leesburg, Ohio for a Church committee meeting on Feb. 23. They returned home Feb. 25. Their dinner guests on Feb. 26 were Mike and Mich Rhodes and family and Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family.
Marlin and Bethany Wiebe had their first child, Jessami Brynn, born Feb. 21 at Salina Regional Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs, 9 ounces. The grandparents are Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Richard and Charlotte Wiebe.
On Feb. 21, Warren Unruh and Kyle and Dora Unruh went to Hope to watch Matt Hiebert play basketball for Peabody-Burns High School.
Bruce Dirks spent a week in Grafton, N.D., conducting meetings. He returned home on Feb. 27.
Mark and Kris Wiebe spent the weekend in Chickasha, Okla. Visiting Jasper and Joni Zeiset.
On Feb. 25, Cheryl Dirks was a supper guest of Heath and Tannis Dirks.
The Nelson Wiebe family, Wayne Wiebe family, Travis Koehn family, Calvin Wiebe family and Tim Davis were dinner guests in the home of Clayton and Betty Wiebe on Feb. 26.
A dinner guest on Feb. 26 in the Ron Unruh home was Milt Duerksen of Goessel.
Lisa Littwiller and Cyrus were overnight guests of Lisa’s parents, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks on Feb. 27. She accompanied Virginia Littwiller to the Memorial services of Mrs. Jonas Giesbrecht on Feb. 28 at the Alexanderfelt Church near Hillsboro.
On Feb. 26, Ken and Sandy Wiebe invited Rayletta Ratzlaff, Cheryl Dirks, Aaron and Teresa Towes and boys, Hardin, Mont., and Rustin and Lydia Dirks and girls for dinner. Aaron and Lydia are brother and sister.
Verla Redger, Hillsboro, was an afternoon visitor of Lola Redger on Feb. 26.
Ron and Dora Unruh visited Irvin and Muriel Christiansen at Marion Assisted Living Center.
On the weekend of Feb. 11, Wendell and Linda Wedel attended the 50th wedding celebration for Dean and Pauline Becker. On Feb. 11, there was a family supper and get together. On Feb. 12, there was an open house for them at the Church near Halstead.
On Feb. 13, a Layette Shower was held at Morning Star Church hosted by friends for Dianne Peachy. Honored guests were her mother Mrs. Lynn Wedel Murray, Ken., sisters Mrs. Mark Becker, Ark., and Mrs. Darcy Reimer, Okla.
Those that had dinner on Feb. 19 in the home of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Doug and Starla Koehn, Stuart and Lea Isaac and Kyle, Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and family and Tim Davis.
Roy and Nadine Davis and Calla Wagner, who lives with the Davises, enjoyed having Anthony and Beth Wiebe and family, Mitch and Carol Unruh and family, Heath and Tannis Dirks, and Warren and Jane Unruh as their dinner guests on Feb. 19.
On Feb. 17, Bruce Cheryl Dirks hosted a meal ticket benefit supper for the school. Guests were Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Kyle Isaac, Arlyn Wiebe, Gary Davis, Marlin and Bethany Wiebe, and Larry and Wanda Koehn.
On Feb. 19, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks went to visit Melvin Dirks at Moundridge Hospital. He is improving after having pneumonia.
Carlyn and Jackie Wiebe invited Larry and Wanda Koehn, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Chet and Melissa Boehs, and Kaylyn and Melissa’s sister Jenny to be their guests on Feb. 19 at their home near Tampa.
