NORTHWEST OF DURHAM: Seniors enjoy bluegrass Gospel music

Senior Citizens of Durham met April 22 at the Community Building, with 21 sharing a potluck dinner. Betty Youk was hostess. The McKinney Sisters from Moundridge presented a program of bluegrass Gospel music.

A group of about 35 from Morning Star Church went to the home of Julia Becker on Thursday for a meal celebrating the birthdays of Sandy Wiebe and Louise Ratzlaff.

Jasper and Joni Zeiset had Sunday dinner with their parents, Mark and Kris Wiebe.

Wendell and Linda Wedel had dinner Sunday with her mother Naomi Mayeskea at Moundridge Manor.

Sunday dinner guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were Sandy Wiebe, Ruth Boehs, Chet and Mellissa Boehs and family, and Harry and Sheryle Rhodes.

Dora Unruh accompanied Jim and Brenda Enns to the Hesston High School Variety Show with the theme “Some Nights.” Her grandson Darren Enns was the director.

Parents and students held a teacher appreciation picnic Saturday for Cottonwood Grove School teachers at Cottonwood Point at Marion Reservoir.
