Teachers honored at picnic

Cottonwood Grove School had a teachers’ appreciation picnic at Cottonwood Point on Saturday. Teachers, school helpers, students, and parents attended.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe went to Copeland to attend memorial services for Betty’s cousin, Sadie Frank, on Saturday.
Dora Unruh was in Seattle, Washington on April 20 to 24 to visit her granddaughter Lisa Enns and husband, Matt Stauffer. Visiting, sightseeing, eating at special places, and attending a ballet were highlights.
Eleven senior citizens met for a potluck dinner hosted by Joan Harmon on April 25.
Justin and Rebecca Wiebe from Iowa were overnight guests in the Ransom Wiebe home April 22.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Mark and Kris Wiebe, Kayla and Luke and grandson Levi, Sandy Wiebe, and Stuart and Lea Isaac had supper at the home of Jason and Sherri Wiebe on Sunday. They celebrated Kris’s 50th birthday.
The Calvin Wiebe family, Greg Wedel family, and Darrin Rhodes family went to Brown Memorial Home on Sunday to sing for the residents. Later, they had refreshments in the Greg Wedel home.
The family of the late Dale Rhodes had a potluck dinner on Sunday at Sugar Creek School near Galva. Don and Gaylene Wedel from Missouri were special guests. Others attending were the Harry Rhodes family and Darrel Rhodes family
Sunday dinner guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were Heath and Tannis Dirks and family, Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family, and Marlin and Bethany Wiebe and family.
Sunday supper guests of Roy and Nadine Davis were Heath and Tannis Dirks and family, Jordan and Katie Wiebe, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, and Michael Ryff.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe enjoyed having the Morning Star youth sing for them in their home April 24.
Sunday supper guests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were school teachers and the Ruston Dirks family.
Sandy Wiebe, Teresa Wiebe, Loretta Wiebe, and Heath and Tannis Dirks and family were dinner guests at the home of Anthony and Beth Wiebe on April 22.
