NORTHWEST OF DURHAM: Unruhs are hosts for birthday supper

Warren and Anita Unruh hosted a supper for Jenna’s birthday. Enjoying pizza and ice cream were Vi Dalke, Dora Unruh, Lane Flaming, and Nathan and Kyle.

Supper guests of Harlan and Sherry Koehn March 6 for supper were Roy and Nadine Davis, Tim Davis Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Larry and Wanda Koehn, Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, and Loretta Wiebe.

Dallas Redger, longtime farmer, died March 7, and graveside services were Friday at the Elm Springs cemetery in rural Durham.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe; Jason and Sherri Wiebe, Shannon and Julie; Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff and family; Rick and LaVae Koehn and family; and Calla Wengar went to Moundridge Manor and Hospital Sunday to give a program of singing and a meditation. Later, they all had a potluck dinner at the Jason Wiebe home.

Sunday dinner guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn were Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Loretta Wiebe, and Carl and Lisa Royer of Hillsboro.

Greg and Charlene Wedel hosted a dinner to help their daughter Teona celebrate her 11th birthday Monday. Guests were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Dale and Kathy Jantz, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, and John and Ruthann Wells of McPherson.

Friday supper guests at the Larry Koehn home were Travis and Sharon Koehn and family; Tim and Shelia Koehn and family; Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family; Amy Koehn; Tim and Chelsea Koehn and Kingston; and Quinton and Dianne Unruh, Katie and Jessie.

Dinner guests in the Mark and Barb Unruh home on Sunday were Kendra Kroeker, Sarah Unruh, Logan Ryff, and Ron and Dora Unruh.

Fifteen senior citizens met for their monthly potluck dinner Feb. 28 at Durham Community Center. Betty Youk served as host. Elmer Westerman spoke about his hobby making clocks out of odds and ends.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe visited and had lunch March 2 at the home of Betty’s brother David and Janet Koehn in Dodge City, and were joined by brothers Robert Koehn and Henry Koehn.

Morning Star Church had a farewell potluck dinner March 4 for Jasper and Joni Zeiset Kelton and Lillian Kristina at the church. The Keltons are moving to Chickasha, Oklahoma.
