Ron and Dora Unruh’s family arranged various activities this week to celebrate the couple’s 60th wedding anniversary, which actually will be June 1.
Saturday morning, Dora took her grandchildren to their annual breakfast in Durham. Attending were David and Ashley Enns and family, Lisa and Matt Stauffer, Josh and Katelin Hendricks, Sarah Unruh, Darren and Corina Enns, Matt Hiebert, and Nathan, Kyle and Jenna Unruh.
That evening family members gathered at the Unruh home for wedding cake and ice cream.
Sunday everyone attended church, and the grandchildren provided music. That evening all had a dinner in Cedar Point.
Sunday dinner guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn included Roy and Nadine Davis, Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Amy Koehn, Calla Wenger and Tim Davis, and Ransom and Lillian Wiebe.
Ron and Dora Unruh attend a memorial service Thursday for Dora’s cousin, Welma Stucky, 97, at First Christian Mennonite Church in Moundridge.
After services Sunday, Morning Star Church had a farewell reception for Kendal and Susie Wiebe, Abigail and Myah, who will be leaving to do mission work in Zambia. Refreshments were served.
Roy and Nadine Davis and Rick and LaVae Koehn and boys spent the evening together Monday.
