NORTHWEST OF DURHAM: Wedding plans announced

The approaching marriage of Karalee Wiebe, daughter of Mark and Kris, to Tyler Martin, son Tim and Victoria of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, was announced at Morning Star Church. The wedding will be July 9 at the church.

Cottonwood Grove school board members held a Sunday evening teacher appreciation supper at the school. Guests were teachers, staff, parents, and students.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe and Gary and Lila Unruh went to Copeland on Thursday for the memorial services for Bob Nightingale, 78.

Saturday evening, Dora Unruh accompanied Jim and Brenda Enns to Hesston where they attended the variety show “I Lived,” presented by Hesston Singers. Darren Enns is the director.

Senior citizens met Wednesday for a potluck meal with 10 people enjoying the fellowship. Lila Unruh was hostess. Gary Unruh gave a speech about grinding wheat. He gave a lot of history and documentary facts from the Stone Age up until flour mills. He also ground some wheat, and everyone enjoyed a sample of bread that Lilla had baked from the ground wheat flour.

Lon and Deb Hiebert brought dinner to the Ron Unruh home on Sunday.

Sunday guests in the home of Mark and Kris Wiebe and Luke were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Mitch and Carol Unruh and family, and Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family.

Roy and Nadine Davis visited the Richard Wiebe home Sunday evening.
