Merlin and Karletta Wiebe returned Feb. 5 from a month-long visit to Ghana, Africa. They visited several missions where eight people are serving as missionaries. They said it was quite warm there. The natives do a variety of things for a living — farming, carpentry, and other trades. On Feb. 8, Kendall and Susie Wiebe and family, Aaron and Janessa Herbel, and Lela Wedel joined the Wiebes at the Anthony Wiebe home to hear about their trip.
Dinner guests Feb. 8 at the home of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were Mark and Kris Wiebe and Luke, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, and Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family.
Sarah Unruh, who lives in Hesston and works at Mid Kansas Co-op in Moundridge, spent the weekend with her parents, Mark and Barb. Her roommate, Andrea Kelly, was a guest.
Dinner guests Feb. 8 at the home of Roy and Nadine Davis were Tim and Shelia Koehn and family, Jeff and Monica Razlaff and family, Tim Davis, and Calla Wengar.
Sandy Wiebe entertained with a ladies tea Feb. 5 at her home in Hillsboro. Honored guests were Cheryl Dirks of Colorado and Betty Wiebe, who had a recent birthday. Others in attendance were Wanda Koehn, Nadine Davis, Sheryle Rhodes, Teresa Wiebe, and Ruth Boehs.
Ron Unruh was a guest of Mark Unruh Feb. 7 at a banquet at Trinity Church. Sarah Unruh also attended.
Lola Redger and Jaraine Redger joined Earl Decker of Newton in attending the memorial service for their cousin, Lila Gourley of Wichita, on Feb. 3.
