NORTHWEST OF DURHAM: Wiebes travel to Montezuma

Clayton and Betty Wiebe went to Montezuma Feb. 21 for the visitation of Betty’s aunt Susanna. The memorial service was held on Feb. 22.

Dinner guests at the home of Roy and Nadine Davis Feb. 21 were Rick and LaVae Koehn and boys.

Dora Unruh attended the Memorial Service for her cousin Elda Koehn Siemens Jantz on Monday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church in Newton. She was 94 and formerly lived in the Walton area.

Jordan Wiebe, grandson of Clayton and Betty Wiebe, left on Feb. 22 for Fort Vermillion, Alberta Canada, where he attended some classes. On Feb. 26, they gave a program which friends and relatives could listen to by phone.

Fourteen of the Durham Senior Citizens met on Wednesday at the Community Building for a potluck dinner and bingo. Joan Harmon and Geraldine Ewert were hostesses.

Mark and Kris Wiebe hosted a school fundraiser Feb. 23 with guests Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Wendell and Linda Wedel, and Tim and Shelia Koehn and family.

Wendell and Linda Wedel hosted a school fundraiser on Feb. 25 at a café. A large group attended the soup and doughnut supper.
