Wanda Koehn went with Diane Unruh and Jessie to Montezuma Friday for a farm sale of Richard and Starla Harms. They are moving to Liberty, Ky., where he will start a business of replacement windows and siding. Starla is Wanda’s sister.
Sunday dinner guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Henry Redger, Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Darrel and Donna Koehn and girls of Moundridge, and Chris Friesen and family of Bernie, Manitoba. Chris is a grandson of Henry Redger.
Ron and Dora Unruh and Mark and Barb Unruh and Saray attended the CVL baseball game Friday evening at Hillsboro. It was the state tournament for 13-14-year-old boys. Matt Hiebert, the Unruhs’ grandson from Peabody, played on the CVL team.
Sunday dinner guests of Ruston and Lydia Dirks were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Melvin and Vera Dirks, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, and Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family.
Those attending the Sunday wedding of Debra Schmidt and Troy Janzen at Cimarron were Roy and Nadine Davis, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Stuart and Lea Isaac and family, Marcel and Wendy Unruh and family, and Rhonda Davis.
The Ron Unruhs attended church services Sunday morning at Trinity. They and the Mark Unruh family and Warren Unruh family were guests of Jim and Brenda Enns for a brunch later in honor of Lisa Enns who was home for the weekend from Seattle, Wash. Other guests were Lauren and Lou Enns, Jim and Teresa Bernhardt, the Kelly Bernhardt family, and the David Enns family. Later in the afternoon, they honored Jacob David, adopted son of David and Ashley Enns, with a baby shower.
Some of those attending the wedding this weekend of Kevin Hiebert of Hillsboro and Kale Becker at Versailles, Mo., were Eileen Davis, Katie Unruh, Joni Karalee Wiebe, quite a few boys from the local youth, Greg Wedel family, Terry Hiebert family, Dalton Wiebe family, and the Travis Koehn family.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe flew to Orville, Calif., the weekend of July 20 to attend the Sunday wedding of their granddaughter, Deanne Koehn and Greg Becker of Texline, Texas. The Wiebes also spent some time visiting their daughter and family, Karen and Frank Unruh. They reported a lot of smoke in that area from the forest fires.
