There aren’t too many items of news this week as everyone enjoyed having a restful weekend and the weather was very hot. Guess we hit the 100-degree mark.

Lester and Chris Friesen recently visited relatives in the area. They were Thursday supper guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe. Other guests were Richard and Charlotte Wiebe and Ransom and Lillian Wiebe.

Richard and Kathy Dirks recently spent several days in Branson, Mo., together with Shon and Kim Buster Laic, Caitlin, Peyton, and Kale.

Amy Koehn surprised her parents Friday afternoon with a visit. The Travis Koehn family, Tim Koehn family, and Dalton Wiebe family joined them Friday evening gfor supper. They celebrated Larry’s birthday, which was July 17. Amy left for her home in Brooksville, Miss., Sunday morning.

Dora Unruh took her grandchildren and great-grandchildren out for their annual breakfast Saturday at the Main Street Café.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe and Jarold and Rhonda Koehn took dinner Sunday to Melvin and Vera Dirks in Hillsboro.

Verla Redger visited Lola Redger Saturday afternoon.

Roy and Nadine Davis, Rhonda and Eileen and Ruston and Lydia Dirks were Sunday dinner guests of Doug and Starla Koehn of Lehigh. Crystal Royer of Fredonia, who is staying at the Koehn residence while working in Moundridge, also was a guest.
