Misdemeanor theft, burglary

Terry Unruh of Hillsboro reported the theft of a Cooperative Grain & Supply fuel card from the cab of a 2001 Ford pickup parked at the co-op between 5 p.m. July 31 and 8 a.m. Aug. 2. An unknown individual later charged $60 in fuel to the stolen card at Ampride, Hillsboro.

Criminal damage to property

Damage to soybeans worth $400 was reported at 9:53 a.m. Aug. 3 on 230th Road near Lehigh.

Theft

Marion County Road and Bridge Department reported at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 the theft of two batteries worth $200 from 100 330th Road, Tampa.

Criminal damage to property

Damage to a front door window and bedroom window was reported at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 4 in the 300 block of 210th Road, Lehigh. The damage was estimated at $100.

Burglary and theft

Burglary of a vehicle and theft of a truck radiator and two batteries worth $550 was reported at 2 p.m. Aug. 6 in on Yarrow Road near Florence.

Driving under the influence

During a traffic stop for speeding (93 in a 65 mph zone) at 2:39 a.m. July 20, officer Mike Stone reported he smelled alcohol on the driver, Benjamin Krause, 33. After field sobriety tests, Krause was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Possession of methamphetamine and marijuana

Police investigated a report of battery at 9:48 p.m. July 26 at 126 W. Santa Fe St., Marion. After receiving a search warrant, officers found marijuana, methamphetamines, and hashish. Kristina Steiner, 34, and Kendall Hein, 39, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs. Two children were taken into protective custody and placed with relatives.

Driving under the influence

During a traffic stop at 2:04 a.m. July 27, officer Mike Stone reported he smelled alcohol on the driver, Joshua Rayce Grant, 30. After field sobriety tests, Grant was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
