HILLSBORO

Auto theft

A 2008 Chevy Malibu containing a Yamaha keyboard, banjo, and blankets was stolen between 11:30 p.m. May 22 and 7:55 p.m. May 23 from a Tabor College parking lot.

According to police broadcasts, the car, owned by the father of Tabor student Camden Cox, 19, of Long Island, Kansas, was left unlocked with the keys inside.

Fuel theft

A motorist drove off without paying for $31 of gasoline at 4:13 p.m. Friday at Ampride, 512 E. D St., Hillsboro.

Theft, misuse of bank card

Amanda Salamone, 18, Hillsboro, reported May 22 that someone, possibly at her former address, had used her bank card to make a total of $631 in unauthorized purchases or cash withdrawals April 23 through 30, including two purchases from Amazon.com, two purchases from El Lorito Mexican Restaurant, and an ATM withdrawal.
