These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Vehicle theft

A 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 was reported stolen between 5 p.m. June 4 and 2:30 p.m. June 10 from an abandoned residence near 90th and Goldenrod Rds. Value of the pickup, owned by Stuart Reimer of Newton, was estimated at $7,500.

Theft

Richard Klenda of rural Lincolnville reported that an unspecified piece of farm equipment, valued at $400, was stolen between 6 p.m. June 9 and 7:23 p.m. June 12 from the roadway near 310th and Remington Rd.

Firearm theft

Virgil McCarty reported that a rifle and a shotgun, together valued at $800, were stolen between March 1 and 9 a.m. June 14 from his home in the 600 block of Lincoln St. in Tampa. Deputy Travis Wilson’s report said no evidence of forced entry was found.

HILLSBORO

Auto theft

A 2005 Chevrolet valued at $7,000 was stolen for a second time between 10 p.m. June 13 and 7:45 a.m. Thursday outside a residence in the 300 block of S. Main St. It was found abandoned Friday at Hillsboro Municipal Pool.

The vehicle, owned by Amanda Ratzlaff, had been stolen before, on June 8. The first time, keys were left in the vehicle, and the thief kept the keys. The second time, the vehicle was locked, the keys were not in it, and locks had been changed so that the stolen keys would not work.

Charges are pending.

Aggravated burglary, domestic battery

A former boyfriend allegedly tried to remove furniture from a residence in the 300 block of N. Main St. and burned his former girlfriend with a cigarette when she tried to stop him shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday.

Luis Perez, 28, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of battery and released without bail.

Domestic battery, aggravated assault

A woman hit her head when pushed by a boyfriend who later, with a knife in his hand, threatened to kill her.

Arrested after the incidents Saturday evening and early Sunday in the 400 block of W. B St. was Dustin Steele, 29, Hillsboro. He was released Monday on $5,000 surety bond.
