Hillsboro
Stolen vehicle, gas skip
Ian M. Sinnett was reported for a gas skip while driving a stolen vehicle from Lawrence at 8:30 p.m. July 8 in the 500 block of E. D St.
Store manager Cynthia Gaddis reported the incident at 8 a.m. July 9. Police said Sinnett’s identity was determined using security footage, vehicle registration, and his driver’s license photo.
Marion
Possession of drug paraphernalia, trespassing
David R, Roberts, 57, of Marion, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday along the railroad tracks south of Main St. Roberts had driven on loose gravel along the tracks, and was found with a homemade pipe fashioned out of a spark plug.
It is unclear why the vehicle was driven to its location. Railroad traffic was stopped until it was determined by Union Pacific Railroad police to be safe for trains to pass.
Revoked license
Ray Andrews, 64, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of driving with a revoked license and no proof of insurance early July 11 near Ridge Rd. and US-56.
Peabody
Theft
Dollar General employees reported miscellaneous items worth a combined $50 stolen from the store between 5:30 and 6 p.m. June 21.
Warrant arrest
James L. Findley, 39, Peabody was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court at 9:29 p.m. June 29 in the 500 block of N. Elm St.
Theft
Roger V. Elliot, 58, Newton, reported his license plate stolen between 6 p.m. July 4 and 1 p.m. July 5 in the 500 block of N. Olive St.
Theft
Dennis L. Strasser, 85, Peabody, reported a trailer valued at $400 stolen between 10 p.m. July 7 and 9 a.m. July 8 from his residence in the 200 block of N. Maple St.
