Hillsboro

Suspended license

A 30-year-old Hillsboro man was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop for not having required lights on a trailer at Indigo and 180th Rds. Joseph A. Biehler was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

Marion

Criminal damage to property

Damage to a fuel tank and filler tube hose worth $1,700 was reported between 12:01 a.m. Aug. 7 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 300 block of Eisenhower Dr.

Possession of stolen property

Stolen property from at least two recent thefts in Marion and Marion County was recovered after a search warrant was executed by sheriff’s deputies and Marion police at 3:35 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of E. Forest St. Marijuana and methamphetamine also were found during the search.

Cyle Wilson, 27, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, criminal damage to property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The case remains open and additional suspects are being sought.

The warrant was connected to a theft earlier in the week. Janette M. Davis, 71, Marion, reported that at least 19 items were stolen between 12:01 a.m. Aug. 19 and 9 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of S. 3rd St. Stolen property included $1,300 worth of wire, air conditioning and heating supplies worth $1,000, an antique International cash register worth $1,200, 12 electric motors worth $2,500 total, an arc welder worth $500, and several other items worth a combined $1,360.

Some of those items were recovered during the search, Marion police chief Clinton Jeffrey said.

Peabody

Vehicle theft

Tonnie Delvecchio, Peabody, reported that a vehicle worth $5,559 was stolen July 21 in the 100 block of W. 6th St. A report, dated July 21, was released this week by police.

Runaway child

Report of a runaway child between was made July 1 and July 21 in the 500 block of N. Elm St. A report, dated July 21, was released this week by police.

Criminal restraint

An unnamed victim reported criminal deprivation of property after having her cell phone temporarily stolen, and being restrained July 22 in the 400 block of N. Maple St. A report, dated Aug. 4, was released this week by police.

Battery

A report was made of battery and damage to property Aug. 19 in the 400 block of N. Sycamore St., according to police chief Bruce Burke. A report is being finalized.

SHERIFF

Burglary and criminal damage to property

A 1977 Chevrolet Blaze, watercraft, toolboxes, television, grills, three boxes, DVD player, 15 hand tools, trolling motor, two batteries, hutch, two watercraft, two tree stands, pellet stove, two deer feeders, rototiller, coat rack, and an ice cream maker, together valued at $26,000, were reported stolen and criminal damage to a door, barn door, and camper door were reported at 2466 Bison Rd. in Lehigh Aug. 11 by Lewis T. Settle, McPherson. The burglary and criminal damage took place between 3 p.m. Aug. 1 and 5 p.m. Aug. 11. The Chevrolet, watercraft, grills, trolling motor, hutches, boxes, a tree stand, pellet stove, deer feeder, rototiller, ice cream maker, and coat rack were recovered Aug. 14. The coat rack and a tree stand were damaged.
