Criminal damage to property

James C. Schlehuber, Marion, reported that a mailbox owned by Anita S. Hancock, rural Marion, suffered $250 worth of damage near 170th and Timber Rds.

Theft

Nathan Fish, Lehigh, reported that a co-op fuel card and fuel pump key were stolen between 4 p.m. Dec. 30 and 8:40 a.m. Jan. 5 from Cooperative Grain and Supply in Lehigh.

Theft

Curtis Frick, Durham, reported that 11 pairs of insolated gloves worth $125, seven pairs of unlined gloves worth $70, two boxes of disposable gloves worth $20, eight pair of leather gloves worth $28, a yellow garbage barrel, an analog volt meter, and a digital volt meter worth $45 total were stolen between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 3 and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 4 from Agri Trails Cooperative in Durham. A front door window and a basement door each suffered $200 worth of damage.

Theft

James D. Janzen, Goessel, reported that antique coins and books worth $250, 51 business checks, and 25 personal checks were stolen between 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and 7:46 a.m. Jan. 4 from Goessel Grocery and Deli. A door and door-frame suffered $300 worth of damage during the burglary.

Theft

Myron D. Hiebert, Canton, reported a 100-foot extension cord worth $75 and a 25-foot air hose worth $25 were stolen between 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 3 near Alamo and 160th Rds.

Marion

Posession of methamphetamine

A 36-year-old Marion man was arrested when methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in his vehicle after a traffic stop for having a suspended license in the 200 block of N. Roosevelt. St. Matthew L. Bice was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and for driving while suspended.

The officer pulled Bice over because he knew Bice’s license was suspended, according to police chief Clinton Jeffrey.
