These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Aggravated battery; domestic battery; battery; interference with law enforcement; disorderly conduct; criminal restraint; endangering a child

What appeared to have begun as a domestic disturbance at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at an apartment at Homestead Affordable Housing ended up in a fight at Casey’s General Store, both in Marion.

Mischelle S. Sturm of a Wichita mobile home park, left an apartment and went to Casey’s after a quarrel with William B. Sturm of the same Wichita address, according to Undersheriff Larry Starkey.

She thought that he would remain with their baby, but a fight ensued when he showed up at Casey’s without the infant.

Eight people are listed as victims on deputy Aaron Slater’s report.

Mischelle Sturm is listed on as a victim of aggravated battery and criminal restraint. She was unconscious when deputies arrived and was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital, possibly with another victim.

William Sturm is listed as a victim of aggravated battery.

Katie Wilson of Homestead Affordable Housing is listed as a victim of domestic battery and criminal restraint.

Marvin M. Nickles Jr., of the 200 block of S. Main St., Hillsboro, is listed as a victim of battery.

Listed as victims of disorderly conduct are Aaron Holmes of the 500 block of S. 3rd St., Marion; Bobbi L. Barrel of the 600 block of S. Cedar St., Marion; Nicole Pitts-Silhan of the 100 block of S. Freeborn St., Marion; Kaitlin N. Johnson, of the same mobile home park in Wichita; Jade Richardson of the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. in Marion; and Linda Ramirez of the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. in Marion.

Slater’s report also lists a potential charge of child endangerment. Sheriff’s deputies responded because no Marion police were on duty.

Battery and aggravated battery

William W. Kurnes of Fort Riley suffered a severe laceration and Destiny L. Kurnes of the same address also was listed as a victim in an altercation at 3:48 p.m. Aug. 21 at a vacant lot in the 100 block of S. Nickerson Ave. in Burns. Acquaintances DeLane K. Kellogg, 57, and HeavenLee K. Kellogg, 29, both of Burns, were arrested on suspicion of battery. Both were released later that day after posting $2,000 bonds. According to monitored transmissions, one person was punched in the face and the other was bitten during a dispute over child custody. Marion ambulance took one victim to St. Luke Hospital
