Domestic battery

After initially complaining that she was the victim, Calris D. Daum, 42, Peabody, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after a disturbance at 9:50 p.m. April 9 in the 900 block of N. Vine St.

Officer Presley Mabe’s report identifies the victim as Christopher Carr, 43, of the same address and alleges it was Daum’s second domestic battery arrest in five years. She was released from county jail 18 hours later after posting a $2,000 surety bond.

According to monitored transmissions, Daum initially reported at 9:09 p.m. that she had been choked by Carr, who had left the house. An ambulance was called to check her. She declined to be taken to a hospital. Mabe continued to investigate, however, calling for a sheriff’s deputy who had earlier backed him up to return and arresting Daum at 10:46 p.m.
