Theft

Copper fuel lines, two batteries, and two battery cables, together valued at $1,200, were stolen between 1:51 p.m. and 3:24 p.m. July 8 from a roadway outside Rodney E. Suderman’s residence near 130th and Old Mill Rds. , according to the lone offense report released Thursday by the sheriff’s office.

HILLSBORO

Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving offenses

Three grams of marijuana (enough for about nine joints) was seized along with two doses of THC and a grinder during a traffic stop at 9:48 a.m. July 15 in the 100 block of W. D St.

Luis A. Hernandez, 28, Denver, was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving without a valid license or liability insurance. He also was ticketed for allegedly failing to display a license plate and making an improper turn or approach.

He was booked into Marion County Jail, where he continued to be held Tuesday in lieu of posting a $10,000 bond.

Revoked license, other driving offenses

Stopped at 5:18 p.m. July 17 in the 200 block of W. Grand Ave. for allegedly allowing a child younger than 14 to improperly ride in a vehicle without safety equipment, Andrew L. Buchanan, 39, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of driving while his license was revoked.

He was booked into Marion County Jail and released 1½ hours later after posting a $2,000 bond.

Burglary, felony criminal damage

An estimated $4,000 damage was done at 3:41 a.m. Sunday to a glass door at Ampride by a burglar who stole two packs of gum worth $5.

The gum later recovered from a 14-year-old suspect who now may face charges of burglary and felony criminal damage to property. The case was referred to the county attorney’s office.
