Family and friends of Opal Craney, longtime Peabody resident, will celebrate her 100th birthday with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 28 at Peabody United Methodist Church. She and her family also plan to attend church there that morning.

There will be another reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 27 at Homestead Assisted Living in Manhattan.
