Head coach Bob Kyle and assistant Brett Mcgee return with three starters from last season — Chris Spencer, Cade Gossen, and Luke Partridge.
There are no seniors on this year’s team. Only three juniors, one sophomore, and four freshman.
“We will be a very young team this season and are going to just get better as the year progresses,” Kyle said.
Peabody-Burns will open its season at home Friday against Central Christian Academy.
Girls Basketball
Only two weeks before to their first game, Peabody-Burns hired a new girls basketball coach, Tom Spencer.
Because of the late hire, no information was available about how many players are returning from last season, who will be on the team this season, and what their team goals may be.
After more than three weeks of attempts to contact the coaching staff, a reporter went to the school to meet both coaches and photograph the teams in practice but was refused access by athletic director Brook Witty.
