Despite 100-degree heat, fans and families from throughout the county converged on the Lincolnville ball diamond Friday and Saturday for the Marion County Men’s Softball Tournament.

Teams played into the early hours of the morning both nights. Peabody won the tournament by defeating American Family Insurance of Hillsboro.

The other teams competing were: Tampa, Tampa State Bank, Lincolnville, Harshman’s, Burdick, Robinson Trucking, and Coyotes.
