Pearl Helmer

Services for Pearl Ann Helmer, 86, Marion, who died Feb. 28 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

Pastor Darren Frazer will preside. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.

Friends may pay respects 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Marion.

Born March 16, 1936, in Okeene, Oklahoma, to Edwin and Alice (Wiggin) Siebel, she attended school in Marion, where she met and on Nov. 28, 1952, married Ezra Helmer.

A member of Eastmoor church and Neo-Century Club, she was a homemaker and for 20 years a seamstress at Ron’s Cleaners.

Her husband and daughter Denice Bina preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons Darin Helmer of Marion, Dennis Helmer of Wichita, and Douglas Helmer of Salida, Colorado; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with the church and Hilltop Manor in Marion.
