Pioneer Bluffs fall festival is Oct. 1

A harvest celebration at historic Pioneer Bluffs Flint Hills ranch will begin at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 and will include music, family fun, and a hog roast.

The afternoon will include an arts and crafts fair with handmade items, homemade food, and homegrown produce, balloon animals, giant bubbles, face painting, a petting zoo, and other activities for kids, caricatures, a silent auction, and a historic performance.

Music will also be happening throughout the afternoon, and will feature Rhythms of the Ranch at 3 p.m., Flint Hill Balladeer, Annie Wilson, and Carl Reed at 4 p.m., Braden Unruh and Jill Sielter at 5 p.m., Tom Page Trio at 6 p.m., and The Skirts at 7:15 p.m.

A weekend getaway for six at Starry Night on the Prairie retreat center, and the use of Pioneer Bluff’s historic barn for a private event such as family reunion, wedding or business conference will be auctioned off at 7 p.m. Tickets for the raffle can be found online at www.pioneerbluffs.org or at the festival.
