Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.
Hillsboro
Feb. 25 – A 911 disconnect was reported. A trespassing complaint was reported in the 300 block of N. Ash St.
Feb. 26 – A civil standby was provided at Hillsboro’s industrial park. A child custody dispute was reported.
Thursday – An abandoned vehicle was reported on E. C St. A forged check was reported in the 100 block of E. Grand St.
Saturday – A suspicious vehicle was reported at D and Ash Sts. Reports of a suspicious person proved unfounded.
Marion
Feb. 24 – A noninjury accident was reported in the 700 block of Weldon St. Officers provided foot patrol checking businesses. A person reported losing his/her dog.
Feb. 25 – Officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant but could not locate the person.
Feb. 26 – A suspicious person was reported in the 300 block of S. 1st St. but no one was found.
Thursday – A civil standby was provided in the 100 block of N. Coble St. A possible prohibited dog breed reported in city limits proved unfounded. A person was warned for trespassing in the 500 block of W. Santa Fe St. A car accident involving a deer was reported near Roosevelt and Kellison St. but no official report was needed. The deer was put down.
Friday – Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St. but nothing was found. A person received assistance with a civil issue. A motorist was warned for a brake light out.
Saturday – A motorist was warned for speeding near Main and Cedar Sts.
Sunday – A person received assistance with concerns about his/her driver’s license.
