Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

March 23 – A parking complaint was reported in the 300 block of S. Ash St. Loose cattle were reported on US-56.

March 24 – A camper hookup was provided at Memorial Park. A person reported having cash stolen by a family member, but the money had already been returned.

March 25 – A person called with questions about possession of firearms by a felon.

A gas skip was reported in the 300 block of N. Ash St., which the person returned to pay. A dog complaint was reported on Date St. Two found identification cards were returned to their owners.

Thursday – A coyote was reported in town. Report of a possible intoxicated person in the 300 block of N. Ash St. proved unfounded. An out-of-control child was reported in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St. A field fire was reported on 190th Rd. A person reported being assaulted by a co-worker, which is under investigation.

Friday – A domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St. Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. A trespassing complaint was reported at Tabor College.

Saturday – A large fallen tree limb was reported in the 200 block of S. Lincoln St. A civil standby was provided in the 200 block of S. Madison St.

Marion

March 23 – Officers assisted with a civil matter in the 900 block of Melvin St. Dog owners were contacted about a complaint of a barking dog. Stolen property was reported, but nothing was found.

March 24 – Driving complaints were reported in the 800 block of N. Cedar St. and the 800 block of N. Roosevelt St.

March 25 – Officers returned a phone call about a voluntary statement.

Friday – People who returned from a mandated quarantine state were reported for not following mandate. A person burning yard waste was reported in the 300 block of Elm St. A found bicycle was returned to its owner.

Saturday – A person reported his dog was missing.

March 25 – Traffic cones were reported in the street in the 900 block of N. Olive St.

Thursday – Found property was recovered by officers. A civil dispute was reported in the 800 block of N. Poplar St. A trespassing complaint was reported.

Friday – A possible theft was reported, which is under investigation.

Sunday – A motorist received citations for no taillights and driving on US-50 with a suspended license..
