Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

May 4 – A person received assistance with mental health issues.

May 5 – A stolen vehicle was recovered from Wichita. Possible counterfeit bills were reported at Dollar General. An Internet scam was reported. A noninjury accident was reported on private property. A missing senior citizen who was reported missing was later found in Hays going to visit family.

May 6 – Lost property was returned to its owner.

Thursday – A motorists was warned for no trailer lights, and two motorists were warned for speeding in the 500 block of N. Ash St. A dog owner recovered his or her loose dog.

Friday – Counterfeit bills were reported at R&D Liquor.

Saturday – A dog owner recovered his or her loose dog. A welfare check was provided in the 200 block of W. Grand Ave. A suicidal person was reported, which proved unfounded.

Sunday – Motorists were warned for speeding in the 600 block of W. D St., for no driver’s side mirror in the 200 block of N. Main St. An illegally parked camper at Memorial Park was moved to the park’s campground. An alarm was reported downtown, which was possibly because to burnt food.

Marion

May 4 – Officers removed road debris from Cedar St. and US-56. Possible harassment was reported, but no report was taken.

May 5 – Officers gave an individual a ride home to Florence.

May 6 – A motorist was notified of a flat trailer tire on US-56 near Upland Rd. A motorist was warned for an illegal J-turn in the 200 block of E. Main St. A welfare check was provided in the 1500 block of Victory Ln. A noninjury accident was reported in the 400 block of E. Main St.

Friday – A disabled vehicle was reported in the 900 block of E. Main St.

Saturday – Individuals were reported arguing in a parking lot in the 1000 block of E. Main St., but nothing was found. A civil standby was provided for a disgruntled customer in the 1200 block of E. Main St.

Sunday – A vehicle owner received assistance moving his or her abandoned vehicle from private property. A dog owner recovered his or her loose dog in the 300 block of S. Freeborn St.

May 5 – Peabody ambulance received assistance in the 100 block of N. Olive St.
