Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Jan. 25 — Officers assisted the sheriff’s department with a non-injury accident. Officers assisted the Department For Children and Kansas Department for Aging and Disabilities with investigations.

Jan. 26 — Police investigated a report of an RV stuck in the mud in an alley in the 200 block on N. Washington St. The vehicle was removed.

Jan. 27 — Possible violation of a protection was reported. Suspicious vehicles were reported in the 200 block of Floral Dr. and the 100 block of Date St. Officers investigated a 911 disconnect in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. Officers assisted Wichita police with an investigation.

Jan. 28 — Police investigated a gas skip in the 500 block of E. D. St. Officers investigated a report of dog neglect in the 100 block of W. 2nd St., which proved unfounded. Officers assisted the sheriff’s department with a vehicle stop. Police checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of N. Ash St. A resident complained about littering in Hillsboro Heights.

Friday — Officers investigated a gas skip in the 500 block of E. Grand St. where the driver returned and paid. A report of someone banging on a door at 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Ash St., turned out to be a resident who was locked out.

Saturday — A 911 disconnect was investigated at 113 Willow Rd.

Sunday — Officers took a delayed report of a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of N. Ash St. and assisted the Sedgwick County sheriff with an investigation.

Marion

Jan. 25 — A report of possible gunshots in the 100 block of S. 3rd St. turned out to be someone throwing large boards during remodeling. Officers investigated a report of suspicious people in the 400 block of N. Lincoln, but no one was found.

Jan. 26 — Officers issued a citation for a motorist driving 30 mph in a 20 mph zone. Police assisted Marion ambulance in the 400 block of S. Coble St. and responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of S. Lincoln St.

Jan. 27 — Officers put down an injured deer in the 800 block of N. Cedar St. Police assisted Marion ambulance in the 1500 block of E. Lawrence St., and served an arrest warrant in the 400 block of S. Coble St. An officer issued a citation for improper parking near 3rd and Main Sts.

Jan. 28 — Officers met with a teen who did not want to go to school and found a door open in the 1000 block of Batt St.

Friday — Officers checked on a 911 disconnect in the 300 block of S. Cedar St. that turned out to be a child who dialed emergency by accident.

Saturday — Police investigated a noise complaint in the 700 block of S. Cedar St.

Sunday — A driver was warned for driving over the speed limit near Main and Lincoln Sts. Police contacted the owner of a property in the 400 block of E. Main for a door left open. Officers checked on a truck parked on US-56 near Industrial Rd., and met with someone in response to a possible disturbance but found nothing amiss.
