Hillsboro

Feb. 8 — Officers assisted the Kansas Highway Patrol with an investigation. Police investigated a report of someone being followed by a suspicious vehicle. Someone reported a lost wallet.

Feb. 9 — Officers assisted the Department for Children and Families with an investigation. Officers investigated a child custody dispute in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. Police assisted Emergency Medical Services in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St. Officers investigated a parking complaint in the 400 block of E. D. St. Police did a civil stand-by in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. and investigated a complaint for a loose dog in the 100 block of S. Date St.

Feb. 10 — Police assisted DCF with an investigation. Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of S. Ash St. Police found a water leak at Wilson and F. Sts.

Feb. 11 — Police did a welfare check in the 300 block of S. Washington St. An officer contacted people at four addresses and determined the subject did not live in Hillsboro.

Friday — Police assisted DCF with an investigation and looked into a report of a suspicious call.

Saturday — A lost wallet was returned to its owner.

MARION

Feb. 8 — Officers contacted the owner of a disabled vehicle in the 1000 block of E. Main St. about moving it. Officers cited a driver for speeding than 33 mph in a 20 mph zone in the 1000 block of E. Main St. Police were unable to find a loose dog in the 700 block of S. Cedar St. Police checked on dogs reported out in the cold.

Feb. 9 — Police did a welfare check in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St. A found debit card was returned. Police checked on an alarm in the 1000 block of Industrial Rd and nothing was found.

Feb. 10 — Officers issued a warning for speeding near Main and 5th Sts. Police investigated an alarm in the 1100 block of E. Main St. Officers investigated a report of a reckless driver, but found no vehicle matching its description.

Feb. 11 — Police issued a warning for speeding near Lincoln and Main Sts. Officers investigated a report of a possible scam. Police gave a driver a warning for making an improper J-turn.

Friday — Officers checked out a vehicle parked in a no-parking zone near Main and Lincoln Sts. A driver was found asleep by officers on Lawrence St., was OK.

Saturday — Police assisted Marion ambulance in the 100 block of Burbridge and the 600 block of N. Cedar Sts.
