April 12 — Police warned three drivers for speeding. Police investigated a noise complaint in the 1000 block of Hudson St.

April 13 — Officers picked up a dog and took it to Animal Health Center. Police arrested a driver in the 200 block of S. 3rd St. on an outstanding warrant and cited the person for driving while suspended, expired, and for not providing a registration or proof of insurance.

April 14 — Police checked on a possible neglected dog, but everything was OK. Police checked out a vehicle in a ditch near Batt and Industrial Rds. Police warned drivers for speeding and having a headlight out.

April 15 — Police met with residents about a child custody case. Officers investigated a suspicious person near Forest and 3rd St., but everything was OK. A driver was cited for speeding on US-56 near Cedar St. Officers did a welfare check in the 500 block of S. 3rd St.

Friday — Police met with a business owner in the 1100 block of E. Main St. about a possible theft, but took no action. Officers did a welfare check in the 1200 block of E. Main St. and checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of N. Cedar St.

Saturday — Officers met with a resident about a child custody issue and issued warnings to drivers for speeding and having no headlight. Police arrested Braeden Hayes, 21, Newton on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after stopping him for speeding on E. Main St. Officers cited a passenger in the vehicle for transporting an open container of alcohol.

April 13 — Police investigated a dog complaint in the 200 block of N. Washington St.

April 14 — Police checked on a dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. Officers investigated a disturbance in the 900 block of E. D St.

April 15 — Officers investigated a parking complaint in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St. and checked on a park curfew violation in Memorial Park.

Friday — Police returned recovered property to its owner and investigated a dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. Officers checked on a noise complaint in the 800 block of W. Grand St.

Saturday — Police did a welfare check in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. and checked out a report of people climbing on top of the basketball goals in the city park.

Sunday — Police investigated suspicious activity in the 300 block of N. Ash St. and attempted to serve arrest warrants
