April 20 — Officers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle. Police issued an equipment warning in the 200 block of S. Adams St. Officers helped with a dog at large in the 300 block of E. D. St., cited a driver for speeding and did a drug investigation on W. D. St.
April 21 — Police cited a driver for speeding at the intersection of Ash and F. Sts. Officers gave a hitchhiker on US-56 a ride to Emporia.
April 22 — Police warned a driver with tinted windows at Adams and Grand Sts. and warned a door-to-door salesperson not to solicit.
Friday — Police looked into cell phone activity of a person reported missing and helped Marion city police with a battery case. Police issued a warning to a driver speeding in the 1100 block of S. Ash St., and put down a deer that was struck by a vehicle. Officers investigated a suicidal person in the 100 block of N. Birch St.
Saturday — Police provided security for a suicidal patient at Hillsboro Community Hospital and transported the patient to a care facility.

April 20 — Officers cited a driver for having a child not restrained with a seat belt in the 200 block of E. Main St. Police checked on a fire alarm in the 100 block of S. Thorp St, but there was no fire.
April 21 — Two dogs were reported running loose in the 500 block of N. Cedar St., but none were found. Police verbally warned a driver for making a J-turn downtown. Two drivers on US-56 near Upland Rd were cited for speeding. Police gave a person a ride to the Chase County line.
April 22 — Police contacted the owner of a lost bicycle. Officers warned drivers for equipment and speeding at traffic stops. Police investigated a parking complaint in the 1200 block of E. Main St.
Friday — Police picked up a dog in the 300 block of S. Coble and took it to Animal Health Center. Police did a welfare check in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St. Police warned the owner of a dog at large in the 800 block of E Main St. Police cited a driver for speeding near Cedar and Main Sts. Police warned four drivers for equipment violations. Officers investigated a disturbance in the 400 block of W. Santa Fe., but took no action.
Saturday — Officers spoke to a person burning yard waste in the 800 block of Hudson St. and issued warnings for equipment violations.
Sunday — Police investigated an out-of-control juvenile in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St., but took no action.
