ACTIVITY REPORTS
Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.
HILLSBORO
July 26 — Use of a Hillsboro man’s identity to open fraudulent utility accounts in Texas was investigated. A motorist was cited for driving on Ash St. with a suspended license. The driver of a vehicle parked at Hillsboro Community Hospital was identified for hospital staff.
July 27 — A coroner determined that an Oakwood Manor resident died early on the 28th of a possible overdose of medication. A false commercial alarm at Bomgaars was investigated. Police met with a resident to discuss a trespassing issue.
July 28 — A motorist in the 500 block of E. D St. was warned about an equipment violation. Police checked on the welfare of a resident in in 200 block of S. Lincoln St.
Thursday — A motorist forgot to turn off a vehicle after parking it in a driveway. Another vehicle appeared to be unlicensed because its temporary tag had blown off. Reports of a suspicious person walking in the 100 block of N. Lincoln St. and of a disconnected 911 call in the 400 block of Arbor Court were determined to be unfounded.
Friday — A vehicle that appeared in need of assistance at Adams St. and US-56 had stopped only so its driver could use a cell phone.
Saturday — A family disturbance in the 700 block of S. Washington St. was investigated; a report is pending. An accidentally pressed neck pendant resulted in an errant 911 call to the 300 block of W. B St.
Sunday — A reported sexual assault of a minor was determined to have happened elsewhere.
MARION
Marion police did not provide a report of their activities this week.
