ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

April 10 — A catalytic converter was reported stolen in the 600 block of E. C St. Police met with a deputy fire marshal about an earlier house fire in the 300 block of S. Ash St. A driver was cited for speeding at US-56 and Ash St. No problems were found in checking on an open door at the city water plant.

April 11 — A runaway juvenile was located and returned home. A resident accidentally dialed 911 from the 100 block of N. Ash St. No problems were noted in checking on the welfare of a resident of the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. A property issue was determined to be a civil matter.

April 12 — No problems were found in checking a report of a suspicion person in the 600 block of S. Main St.

Thursday — A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. A non-injury accident in Dollar General’s parking lot was investigated. A complaint about loud music in the 900 block of E. D St. was determined to be unfounded.

Friday — A dispute between two juvenile brothers in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St. was resolved. Debris was removed from US-56 at Santa Fe St.

Saturday — Routine activities.

Sunday — A dog running free near the city water plant was not located. Property was returned to a resident. Police helped a driver locked out of a vehicle.

MARION

April 10 — A dog running free in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St. was captured and taken to a veterinary clinic. Police and the city’s code enforcement officer dealt with a parking complaint at Main and Roosevelt Sts. Police discussed a landlord / tenant issue in the 200 block of N. 4th St.

April 11 — Two dogs running free in the 200 block of Grant St. were picked up by their owner. After checking on the welfare of a person living in a rental home in the 300 block of S. Roosevelt St., police arranged for an ambulance to take the person to a hospital for evaluation of possible psychological problems.

April 12 — No report.

Thursday — A non-injury accident of an unspecified nature at 3rd and Santa Fe Sts. was investigated.

Friday — Police were called to the 300 block of Thorp St. for an unspecified reason. Monitored transmissions indicate it was a complaint about a dog.

Saturday — Police helped a driver whose vehicle broke down at Main St. and Eastmoor Dr.

Sunday — No report.
